5 Health Benefits of Grape Seed Oil

Is there a natural remedy that simultaneously moisturizes the skin, evens its tone and protects from the harmful environmental effects? Yes - grape seed oil! This is why we love adding this magical, all natural oil to our Kypwell products.

Here are just 5 reasons why you should include grape seed oil in your daily personal care routine.

Source of Antioxidants

Antioxidants are anti-inflammatory and protect the skin from the harmful effects of the environment. For example, this oil contains vitamin E, which strengthens the skin's barrier and in turn protects it against free radicals and UV rays. That's exactly WHY we added grape seed oil to our Kypwell Kind Sun Sunscreen.

By regularly using grape seed oil or our products containing it, antioxidants which are within can also stimulate the natural production of collagen and elastin, which makes grape seed oil a great anti-aging agent!

Effective Hydration

The oil has an effective moisturizing effect thanks to its fatty acids components. Oleic acid moisturizes the skin, and linoleic acid softens and reduces the level of transepidermal moisture loss (meaning, the evaporation of moisture through the skin into the environment).

This effect is especially noticeable after applying our Kypwell Mountain Spring Deep Moisturizing Cream. An added bonus is the light texture of this oil, as most oils leave a greasy film over the skin, but grape seed oil is quickly absorbed and leaves no residue.

Helps to fight acne

Grape Seed Oil greatly helps to minimize skin breakouts - which is important for those who are faced with acne. Experts believe that acne-prone skin lacks linoleic acid, which makes sebum thick and clogs pores.

Grape seed oil will help restore the balance of your bodys’ natural linoleic acid, and in addition, the oil has anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties, helping even further with any skin breakouts.

Even Skin Complexion

It helps to even out the skin tone and visibly reduce the appearance of dark circles under the eyes. The fact is that the oil contains powerful antioxidants and proanthocyanidins. These help to restore the skin's structure, stimulate collagen production and reduce the appearance of age spots.

Thanks to the combination of microelements, the oil also speeds up the healing process of the skin and reduces the appearance of scars.

Skin regeneration from within

Grape seed oil is effective not only in cosmetic products, but also as a useful addition to your diet. One tablespoon of oil contains 9 mg of vitamin E, which is 19% of the RDA(Recommended Dietary Allowance). Vitamin E is crucial for beautiful skin, a strong immunity and healthy eyes.

So how can you use grapeseed oil in the kitchen? Try simply adding it to a salad dressing or use it to fry with. The oil has a fairly high smoke point and does not lose its beneficial properties when heated.

Grape seed oil in Kypwell products

Grape seed oil is a versatile ingredient for youthful and beautiful skin, that we use in most of our Kypwell products. We source our oil from grapes grown locally in Cyprus. Due to the unique volcanic soils, sunny weather and the absence of harmful industries, plants grown in Cyprus are high in essential oils. Therefore Cypriot grape seed oil has a strong regenerating effect on the skin.
